Question
HELP! i just purchased an older home it's about 60 yrs old.The kitchen floor has laminate on top of it but I'm assuming there's wood underneath. There's a portion in front of the sink and dishwasher that has began to buckle. The dishwasher is new it worked once and then didn't drain. The sink is starting to drain slow and when I wash dishes water begins to leak from the dishwasher. I don't know what to do. Do I call a plumber and someone about the floor or one or the other not both. This is my first home. We are learning as we go along. any advise would be appreciated.

Answer
Meka,

I am sorry , all your panic has me confused ...is water actually leaking now ...turn the water off ... call the insurance company .. and see what they recommend. Do you have a true emergency ? Call a family member ...I am not the best person to respond regarding a flood... Also if you have a small flood the floor will be damaged and a restoration company will help you ... CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY ...they have 24 hr emergency service.

If this is about DIY repairs that's different.

Chris
