But in fact, could one actually bleach terracotta tiles? I have very dark red clay tomettes in an old house in France...and I would like to lighten them (I see some homes with variously-colored tomettes, lighter reds, ocres, and browns mixed together. If that is not the actual color of the clay, could bleaching do something similar? Thank you.
