Flooring and Carpeting/About Krause carpet

Hi there,  we are looking at re carpeting  most areas of our home.  We have been looking at anso nylon by shaw but I have recently found one by Krause that I like.  It is BCF perpetual pashmina by Krause ( boardwalk).  The shaw carpet is plaza view.  We want the pat urn or cut and loop because we have a dog.  And nylon for cleaning.
I can't figure out if perpetual pashmina is wool or nylon?  Which is more durable and easier to keep clean.

Hi Linda:

Very sorry for the delay; I am in the process of retiring and changing the e-mail address for contacts such as this to that of my new consulting business and let this one get through the crack.

I looked at the Kraus web site and the fiber type should be clearly specified, its required by federal law in the US.  That said however, the BCF (bulked continuous filament) designation rules out wool.  Looking at the specifications page, it is PET - a cryptic term for polyester.

With the dog, I would suggest going with your instincts about the nylon.

Hope this helps,
