Question Hello David,
I'll get right to the question. Our house is 130 yrs old and has wide pine floors. they were refinished about 6yrs ago with a clear polyurethane. They have that honey yellow glow to them. 5 months ago we adopted 2 puppies. They are very frisky and playful. Because of all this running and playing they have done a real job on the floors. There are scratches everywhere now and i have to hide them with a rug runner. What i need to know is an easy way or some product to repair the scratches. The area is approx.13'x3'.....rest of room covered with a rug.
Thank you for any help you can give.
Harry
Answer I will hazzard a guess...is this finish what is scratched or the pine Under the finish. Take into consideration that "poly" means plastic. It stays soft. It will always be scratchable. ie something that will always need attention and something to buy for> IT is possible to sand the surface down and refinish again.
