AboutMichael C. Malizia Expertise I can answer questions about, Grout and ceramic tile restoration and installation. This topic generally focuses on new or old installations that have an existing problem. I can offer advice on how to correct common made installation mistakes. Such as, cementitious grout problems, efflorescence, ghosting, shading, and flash. And tile installation problems such as, floor deflection, slip resistance, loose tiles, vapor transmission and many others. These are just a few of the problems associated with new tile and grout installations. I can also offer advice with restoring old tile and grout problems such as, sealer removal, re-sealing, grout re-coloring, grout repair, and caulking.

Question Hi Michael, I feel a bit stupid asking this question, but one of our ceramic corner soapdishes keeps falling off the tiled tub surround. We have tried 3 different ways of gluing it back to the tile but it keeps coming off. First try was hot glue, second was glue to stick rear-view mirrors to windshields that the hardware store recommended, 3rd was an Elmer super fast epoxy resin that said it was suitable for tile (comes in 2 tubes that you mix together). Each time we taped it in place while the glue dried and then re-siliconed around it to seal it in place.
Is there anything you can suggest we use to try to stick it back on for the 4th time? I'm at a loss as to how to fix it.
Thanks so much!
Regards,
Autumn
