Flooring and Carpeting - Soapdish keeps falling off the wall

Expert: Michael C. Malizia - 10/12/2005

Question
Hi Michael, I feel a bit stupid asking this question, but one of our ceramic corner soapdishes keeps falling off the tiled tub surround. We have tried 3 different ways of gluing it back to the tile but it keeps coming off. First try was hot glue, second was glue to stick rear-view mirrors to windshields that the hardware store recommended, 3rd was an Elmer super fast epoxy resin that said it was suitable for tile (comes in 2 tubes that you mix together). Each time we taped it in place while the glue dried and then re-siliconed around it to seal it in place.

Is there anything you can suggest we use to try to stick it back on for the 4th time? I'm at a loss as to how to fix it.

Thanks so much!

Regards,

Autumn
