Question
hi
i would love to use marble in sitting, granite in dinning and kitchen area.natural sisal in bed room  and cerimic tile in bath....what do u suggest .....could u please please give me some advantages and dis advantages of these floorings
sameera

Answer
I would be concerned as to the color and variations of the different tiles.  I would not recommend Granite on a floor.  It is very slippery and generally sharp edges.  Even the beveled edge granite is relatively sharp for bare foot traffic.  Ceramic tile is quite common in varieties of colors and shapes.  The marble is slightly better than the granite for the floors but the similar characteristics apply.  So for the sisal... I have not seen much of it...it seems soft and difficult to keep clean.
