Answer I will try to make this sound simple. It is time consuming but simple. Depending on your substate...plywood or concrete slab, you should seal the concrete with an epoxy coating, or install a Kraft paper over a plywood subfloor. These methods help prevent moisture from entering the unfinished area of the wood. Tar paper is NOT recommmended because of the thickness is represents. The kraft paper is very thin and allows NO air and assists in the placement of the wood. Tar paper would prevent smooth placement of the wood by being sticky. Over concrete: you will need a good construction adhesive that will bond to the epoxy and the wood. Over plywood..."toe nailing " into the tongue side into the plywood at 12" or 16" intervals (depending on the manufacturers specs) This should give a simple beginning.
