My first work was in flooring and interior designs.   My first job... every room of the house was a different color of walls and carpet.   It can work...

Question
Dave, is this something that a specific skill someone would have and have the equipment to do so?  I asked at one flooring store and they were clueless.  Thanks again.

Question -
We recently moved into a 37-year old house that has a black slate floor in the foyer.  Somehow we managed to scratch it up pretty good (I don't know how the previous owners managed not to do this) but anyway, I need advice on how to remove the scratches.  Thank you in advance for your help!

Answer -
It wont be easy and the tools necessary are hard to find.  It takes a cotton buffing wheel and a pumice stone.  It literally buffs the mar away.   Time consuming and messy.

Answer
Some, not all, glass companies have the equipment to remove scratches from glass.  It is the same equipment...but a more course pumice.  You might! be able to get the cotton wheel at a hardware store and ask around about a pumice stone.  If you can get a drill and mount the wheel to it...you might be able to do it yourself.  The problem is rare..the cure is rare.
