Question
I would like to bottle a sauce/ marinade. Do I need FDA approval? Is there a reputable bottling plant in the midatlantic area that will work with start-ups? How much do these plants usually charge?

Answer
Hello Cindy

No you do not need FDA approval to bottle Sauce/Marinade.

The charges are based on the quantities you would want to pack at the start up and there after, there are no fixed charges. Also the plant has to have the production line which will use their existing filling and capping equipment for your bottles/or containers.

I know small packer in New Jersey but none in DC,MD or VA.
