Question
this is the reply to the mail which i received by JON about which i sent before of the query in spices My Query isi want to know what is the process after harvesting for the processing and the grinding of the most commonly used spices in complete detail.

Answer
I cannot give complete detail at this time.  Each spice generally has a different journey from field to jar.  Pepper for instance is picked from the vine dried in the sun, sorted  cleaned at ship to US to be further ground in powder.  Often it is sterilized post processing.

Cinnamon for instance is procured from the bark of a tree. it is scraped cleaned, dried and cut into pieces.  It is generally shipped in bulk to US for grinding.

Garlic is harvested and is quite wet.  It is dried industrially and then cut to size
