Question I am planning to start a small scale spaghetti sauce manufacturing and packaging business. I tried to go some steps but it seems I don't what I have to do. So I need some professional advice. I hope you would be the perfect person to give me the information I need.
1. May I have the overall manufacturing process.
2. What type of packaging should Ihave to use.
3. As a new starter, what volume per day is suggested to produce?
4. Are there any cheaper plant providers you know specially from the far east?
5. If possible please provide me with an over all price estimation for the whole plant to make ready for the first prodution.
I believe I will find enough information, thanks
Answer For someone new, setting up a complete manufacturing, sales, and distribution system from scratch is really too daunting of a task. I usually recommend that you go the private label or contract packing route first. Both the Private Label Assn and the Contract Packers Assn have websites where you can get info - and people to talk to - to get you started. The SBA and SCORE are also good (free) resources. Good Luck!
