Question I bought some pork chops from Waitrose and put them in the freezer. The sell by date was 19 January. It says on the package you can freeze the chops but use within one month - is this correct? I thought you could freeze pork chops for longer than this period. does this mean that the chops may have been previously frozen? Is it safe to freeze them, for longer than 1 month?
Answer Katherine,
How are you doing? Maybe Waitrose knows something we don't the suggested time for frozen storage for pork, roasts or chops is 4-6 months. I don't believe that these pork chops were previously frozen as that is a no no, no meats should be refrozen unless cooked. They must be stating to keep frozen for only 1 month for a reason you would have to ask them why.
