Food Safety Issues - 2 hours in a car

Expert: Carl Copeland - 4/15/2008

Question
I left sour cream and salsa in my car for 2 hours. Both un-opened. Are they safe
to consume?

Answer
Paul,
How are you doing?  If these items were unopened and not in extreme heat or above 80 degrees fahrenheit I would believe the sour cream would be safe.
