Food Safety Issues - raw eggs

Expert: Carl Copeland - 4/16/2008

Question
I bought some eggs and they are in my car the temp outside is suppose to get to 70 degrees today.  how long will they be good?

Answer
Donna,

Eggs are supposed to be refrigerated soon after purchase. I have seen eggs sold at outdoor markets in higher temperatures, hopefully you can get to your car and put them in the refrigerater as soon as possible. For egg storage storage guidelines please visit

Take Care,
Carl
