Food Safety Issues - left out chicken

Expert: Carl Copeland - 5/6/2009

Question
Is my chicken safe to eat, forgot to put in frig when I came home from the store. It was left on counter about 1 1/2 hours. My home is not abnormally warm. Forgot to mention this was uncooked chicken. Thank you.

Answer
Joyce,

How are you doing? First I would like to apologize for my delay in response. Of course some bacteria has developed but I don't believe enough to cause your chicken to be a health concern.
