Food Safety Issues/salmon

Question
I had fresh salmon left in the fridge for a week, then baked it in the oven. There was a little bit of slime starting to form, and just a regular fishy smell to it. Should I be concerned??

Answer
Its bacteria associated with spoilage that is starting to affect the fish. It would not be dangerous to eat but the quality is beginning to deteriorate. Fresh fish as a general rule will last about 4-5 days refrigerated before the quality becomes affected. It will not give you food poisoning, again it is a quality issue.
