Question I have an excellent refrigerator Dill Pickle recipe. As they dont store for more than three weeks is it possible to freeze the pickles and if yes in what type of container.
Yours sincerely
Maggie
Answer Hi Maggie,
Yes, you can freeze pickles but it's best to follow recipes designed for freezing. I'd first do 1 container of your pickle recipe, freeze it for several weeks then remove to see what kind of texture your pickles produce upon thawing. If you like the texture, then freeze away!!
As far as containers, any freezer container will do -- plastic, glass -- even freezer plastic bags. I would probably use plastic freezer containers. Your local grocery store and discount stores carries freezer containers.
