Food Safety Issues - Safety Issue

Question
Hi.  I just started a dog bakery.  I have a permit to bake in my home and all the neccessary legal issues are covered.  My goods are made from ingredients that can be consumed by humans.  Natural and wholesome ingredients.

One item is a gravy (broth) that I make from all herb bouillon, beef soup bone, onion, garlic powder and parsley.

I can it (glass jar with the seal lid) However, I am not sure that I can leave this mixture on a self unrefrigerated.  My label instructions say "heat and serve, refrigerate AFTER opening."

Is it okay to make, can and shelf this kind of product?

Hope you can help me!

Lisa

Answer
Since you are using bones in the making of this broth i dont think i would shelf it.  You never know what kind of bacteria could be there.  Im not real sure on it because i havent done any canning before.  There probably is something you can add to it to make it shelfable, but i dont know what it is.
