Question
I was wondering what is the best way to store natural almonds purchased in bulk from Sam's Club? Also, since I am pregnannt and eating alot of fresh fruit, is there a way to keep fruit fresh for a longer period of time?

Answer
Hi Denise,

Almonds can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer for long term storage.  They key is to store in air-tight containers.  You should be able to store them for up to a year in the refrigerator and even longer in the freezer.

If you go to this website, http://www.ext.vt.edu/pubs/foods/348-960/348-960.html and scroll down to "Fresh Fruits" you'll find recommendations on how to store fresh fruits for maximum freshness.

Good luck with you pregnancy, Denise.
