Food Safety Issues - frozen spiral ham

Expert: Carl Copeland - 11/19/2007

Question
i received a ridge creek frozen spiral ham in 2006 and have never taken it out of freezer. can i use it or throw it away.

Answer
Ramona,
How are you doing?  Unopened vacuum packaged hams and fresh hams can be frozen and used within two-three months.  I believe that this time period has definitely lapsed. Remember you can always contact Ridge Creek for their suggestion also.
