Question How long can you leave ground beef unthawed fridge un cooked
Answer Hi Chuck,
The recommendation is to refrigerate ground beef up to 2 days after purchase/thawing. After that time period bacteria that is not detectable by taste or smell may have grown to a level that can make you ill. And some bacteria produce a toxin that is not deactivated by cooking, so cooking does not automatically make it safe to consume.
