Question How long will fresh caught salmon that has been vacuum sealed stay in the refrigerator. It has not been in the freezer. My husband seems to think because it has been vacuum sealed it will last longer
Answer Hi Mary,
The salmon will last longer vacuum sealed than if just wrapped in plastic but it doesn't last forever! Vacuum sealing will give 3-4 days of freshness, as opposed to 1-2 days when not vacuum packaged.
If you can not use the salmon within 3-4 days you may freeze the salmon for future use.
