Experience Began career in 1979 at one of the nation's most prestigious distributors, RW Smith & Co. Recipient of Three "Top Gun" awards as the best salesman in the company.
Too many awards to list from manafacturers but among those: largest sale in three years for Ventmaster ventilation systems (more than 368 lineal feet of exhaust ventilation)for the Neveda Culinary Arts Academy; "Rising Star" for greatest sales growth in one year for all territories in the US on behalf of Service Ideas; Largest increase in territory sales for Franklin Machine Products for signing two restaurant chains to a corporate program. The list goes on...
I have been researching different venues to open a small Hawaiin Ice Stand and after being rejected by county beaches, Disney owned amusement parks and big box retailers like Walmart and Target, I have found possible success in securing a good location with some area malls who offer short term leases.
My problem is that I can not find suppliers of kiosks that fit within my budget. I contacted Carraigeworks.com and they quoted me $30,000 for a 10" x 12" kiosk, which is quite frankly out of my budget.
IMHO, Shaved iced kiosks do not require highly specialized equipment besides a good shaver and refrigeration supply, so I was wondering if:
a- a mall would be a good place to operate a shaved ice kiosk?
b- if you know of any companies who sell pre owned mall kiosks or food carts?
Thank you.
Answer Sorry to take so long getting to your question. I'm not a good judge of where it would be appropriate to open a Hawaiian kiosk. I think you would still have to have a hand sink with fresh water/dirty water reservoirs depending on the municipality you're in.
Try Van San for new kiosks. I have no source for used kiosks.
Good luck!
