Question
hey my name is Shawn and im a freshman i was 1st string this year on freshmna but next year i dont know if it will be the same so i was wondering if you could give me some tips on getting bigger for next year and some stretches maybe to get my agility and speed up. I can already catch pretty well but im not too fast i run a 5.4 -5.3 40 so i need to get just a bit bigger and and faster so ANY tips of becoming a better tight end or athlete would be very helpful thanks

Answer
Shawn, to be honest your speed is somewhat slow.  You need to work on your speed.  Between now and the season starting you need to strech daily and run sprints.  Runing hills is a great way to improve speed.  Work on firing off as hard and fast as you can on every sprint.  This will make you a faster player.  Speed isn't everything to being a good tight end.  Being strong and powerful blocker is just as important as your speed.  So hang in there and keep working hard.  Improve your speed if you can, but most of all just keep work hard and the coaches will notice you.  GOOD LUCK COACH NOEL!!!
