Question
My name is Todd. I bench 95, squat 180, and dead lift 250. I had one touchdown and 3 catches last year. I am in 9th grade.(high school) I am trying to start next year for JV. I play wide receiver. Can you tell me some drills that I can do so I can get my speed up and start next year and be a better wide receiver.

Answer
To increase your speed, you need to run sprints, and strech daily.  Flexability and sprint work outs will increase your speed.  Practice firing off as fast as you can on every sprint.  Your starting point is crucial to your overall quickness.  Also running sprints both up hill and down hill are good drills to become faster as well.  Todd I would also work hard at increasing your bench strength this summer.  Try to get that to at least 135 lbs before the season starts.  GOOD LUCK COACH NOEL!
