Answer Ryan the first step in getting to college to play football is being a starting on your high school football team. Don't get discouraged this season even if you don't start. I have seen lots of kids play college football that only started on varsity one year. Key to playing good center is being smart, and quick off the ball. You have more of an advantage than any other person on the field does. Nothing happens tell you snap the ball. A good center has a quick snap and has great footwork to get out to the middle linebacker and block him. A good center will be able to prevent any blitzes that come up either A gap. A good center is smart enough to make all the right line calls for the entire O-line. So work on quick feet and hands, lift weights daily, work hard every day so that the coaches notice it. Last be smart and be a leader on the O-line. GOOD LUCK COACH NOEL!
