Expert: Victor Winnek Date: 7/14/2008 Subject: visors
Question are you allowed to wear dark visors in high school on your helmet in the state of virginia?
Answer Hunter,
NO it is not permitted.
The answer to your question is NO. There can be no tinting at all in a visor or eyeshield. Under National Federation Rule 1-5-3-n the rule is the same as the NCAA's. The eyeshield must be a molded rigid material that is 100% translucent without any color or tinting.
Your question was answered quickly, politely and my knowledge of the the subject matter is above reproach. I must protest your rating as inappropriate. I realize being told what you may not want to hear is disappointing but your rating my reply with 8s or 9s is misguided.
