Question Randy, was hoping you could provide me with the names of NFL players who were caught using/tested positive for steroids during the past decade or so... any names from recent years, especially players still in the league, would be greatly appreciated... thanks
Answer Well the Carolina Panthers had a big stink a few years ago ( I remember it because I live in NC) the punter (not a position I would think would need em) Todd Sauerbraun was one who got in trouble. Offensive linemen Todd Steussie and Jeff Mitchell were also implicated I believe.
Recently former 49er’s defensive lineman Dana Stubblefield testified about steroid use in the NFL to get out of trouble himself.
Rodney Harrison and Shawn Merriman have been busted for using them if my recollection is correct.
Then many others like Julius Peppers and Brenston Buckner have been in trouble over using banned substances like Diuretics
Those are the ones who come to mind in addition to the two William’s defensive tackles with the Vikings last season and Deuce McAlister with the Saints last season.
Frankly there have been too many incidents to list, but I hope this helps some.
