Football Trivia (General)/Rookie

QuestionHi
I have never been a football fan (I grew up in Ireland), but that I am attending school in the U.S. I have decided I would try to 'get into it', meaning NFL football.
I kind of know the basics of north american style football but need some help in watching it and what to look for.
My background is soccer so I am not used to the constant stoppages in play.
I visited relatives in Canada and watched some CFL games. That league is very similar except there seemed to be a lot more movement and running, especially more kicking and throwing.
U.S. college football seems to be that way to.
However, the NFL seems to be 'where its at' and the best players are there, and is certainly more flashy, so any help, pointing me to some books or websites would be appreciated.
Thanks!
AnswerThe CFL has different rules than the NFL, but it's still kind of the same. College also has some different rules but they are not as drastic in their difference as the CFL. I would watch as much NFL as possible with people who understand the game and can educate you on the game. As far as websites go, just try NFL.com and start reading and learning about the game. It's a lot of fun.
