It was the legendary Jim Brown who led the NFL in rushing on eight occasions. Brown who retired after nine seasons to make movies in Hollywood, led the league in rushing in his first five seasons from 1957 to 1961. After finishing 4th in rushing to Jim Taylor in 1962, Brown led the league in each of his last three seasons before retiring after the 1965 campaign.
