Ford - np205 transfercase

Question
I have a 351wHO with a four speed manualtransmission and a 205 transfercase.I would like to put the 205 in my 78 f150 that has a 460 and c6.What would it take to swap the 205 with the 203.

Answer
Do Not use the 203 the gears are  a chain driven . Use the 205 because it is 10X STRONGER and it is gear to gear .ford made a C6 for both the 203 and the 205 .check your junk yards.or go to NOVAC  web or Advance adaptors .and they make adaptors were you can use what you have to make it work.STAY AWAY FROM THE 203.Now  If you know want you are doing you can use the low gears from the 203 and incorporate them into the 205 and have  a low and a low low gear, great for rock crawling.
