Ford - 95 explorer shutters and tries to stall out
Expert: Dusty Granata - 6/22/2009
Question I have 95 ford explorer that stalls out when accelerating, it shutters at anything past 2500 RPMs. I had the codes read, and it said it had bad O2 sensors, which i replaced. After i reconnected the battery the truck ran fine for a day and started doing the same thing again.
Answer Hi James, what you may have is a stored memory fault, if so you need to have the codes cleared, then after 50 miles pulled again. you possibly have something besides bad O2 sensors, which I’ve found don’t go bad very often, but they do sometimes. you may have a plugged catalectic converter or a plugged fuel filter. check the codes first.
