Question Yes just the other day my 96 ford explorer was runing fine. Then I parked it to go inside somewere, come out and try to start it and it would start but cut off like it was running out of gas. But that moring I just put 15.00 wort of gas in it. And the gaeg said it had under a half a tank. The next day went back and my dad was checking to see if he hear the fuel pump and he said I had not gas. So he got 2gallons and put that in there and it started up. But now it does nothing. What do you think it sounds like. Thanks for the help(if you can)
Answer it sounds like the fuel pump, but did you hit anything hard? a large pothole or rock? there is a fuel pump cut off switch in your vehicle, (check your owners manual for exact location as it varies with the year) check and make sure that has not been tripped, as it will shut down power to the fuel pump.
