Question
For about a year now, I have had a problem with this truck after driving a while will shut down until it seems to cool and then fire back up like there is no problem. I check for firing at the top of distributor & there isn't any. I had the distributor rebuilt and new module installed in distributor on the side in this model. All work was done by a ford mechanic. Seems to do it during warm weather.

Answer
might be a cracked cap, or a bad module, but since it was replaced it doesn't sound likely. for your info 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 is the firing order, counter clockwise from the top, number one cylinder is the first (closest to the front) cylinder on the passenger side if you are standing in front facing the truck. the firing order will be listed on the side of the intake near the back (good spot for it, right where no one can see it)
