Question
I have an 89 ford f150 with inline 6 cylinder,,,,, when i accelerate it chokes out, i put the pedal to the floor it takes off

Answer
With out having the truck in front of me. I'm going to suggest replacing the throttle position sensor as there could be a dead spot in it. Also can you rev the engine high at an idle and it chokes out only in drive ? If so, try loosening the exhaust off the manifold to check for a restricted catalytic converter
