Ford - Fuel?

Expert: Ken Surerus - 3/28/2005

Question
Yesterday i was on the way home when my 93 ford escort seemed like it ran out of gas on the freeway.  Now when i try to start it, the engine acts like it isn't getting any gas.  Any suggestions?

Answer
Mr. Ziegelbauer,

The first thing I would check is the fuel pump. If that is okay, I would check the fuel injectors. Turn the key on and if you do not hear a buzzing noise, then your fuel pump is bad. If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Hope that this helps and good luck.

Ken
