Question
I have a 1998 Ford Ranger 4X4. All of a sudden the gear indicator on the steering column doesn't lineup with what is actually happening. If I put the truck in "N" it is really in "R". Or if I put it in "D" it is in "2".How can I get the indicator on the column to lineup correctly?

Answer
Roy,

You would have to go on the transmission and you will see the numbers "N", "R", etc. You will have to loosen the nuts there and put it in PARK and adjust the indicator and needed. Hope that this helps and if you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck.

Ken
