Ford - electric windows ford explorer

Expert: Ken Surerus - 3/24/2005

Question
dirvers window in my 1991 ford explorer will not go up or down on it's own.  It can be mover manually with ease.  I have taken the motor out it is strong and the gears are perfect.  The mating gear that pushes the window up and down apears to be good with no missing or bent teeth.  Is there something worn or missing that I have overlooked???  thank you for your help.

Answer
Evans,

If the motor and everything is good then check the regulator assembly. If that is okay then one of the metal assembly arms that moves the glass up and down, must be bent. Hope that this helps and if you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck.

Ken
