Question -
I have a 1998 Ford Mustang convertible. I am trying to figure out how to disarm the alarm system. The car alarm goes off for no reason even when the doors are unlocked and the car alarm not set on. Cold weather seems to make it worse. can you tell me how to disarm it?
Answer -
Laura is this a factory alarm or is it an factory add on. look at the remote and tell me what nane is on it.

The only thing that is on the remote is the words transmitter 1 and something that reads FCC ID followed by numbers and letters. TRW Inc. is also on the remote. I hope that helps.

Answer
yes it is a ford factory installed sys. if you go in side the trunk behind the lf rear tail light pull back the carpet and you will see a gray conector turn the key on then jump the 2 term. together the doors will unlock when this happens remove the jumper and then push the unlock button on your trans the doors will lock then unlock
