Question the tach doesn't work all the time? Just wondering if anyone knows anything special about diesel tach's.

If it is bouncing around, I recommend that you check the ground as you may have a short. To my knowledge, the tachs are all hooked up the same regardless if it is a diesel or gas vehicle. Hope that his helps and if you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck.
