how can i find the thingyy that the tail light is kept in place with on a ranger 2002 pick up? i have a mazda b3000, but have been told they are identical as far as body. The trck has been wrecked and i have the tail light baught, but need to get whatever it is that holds the light in place. SORRY TO BE SO NON TECHNICAL. :) THANKS!
Answer -
when you open the tail gate you will see on the inside you will see 2 screws  remove them and the one's in the lamp
i think they are called light sockets- i cant find them anywhere on line.( i may be blonde, but i know what A SCREW IS. :)

what did you ask me first how to remove the rear tail light not how to remove the bulb socket.so what do you need to know?Rear Lamp Assembly
Removal and Installation

Open the tailgate.
Remove the four screws and the rear lamp assembly.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

and to remove the  bulbs you just turn ,twist and they just pull out
