Ford Repair - 2003 Mustang Cobra SVT lug nut torque
Expert: Steve H - 5/1/2004
Question I have a 2003 Mustang Cobra SVT convertible with a 4.8L supercharged engine. I just changed all 4 tires from stock to ones I special ordered from Ford SVT. How tight should the lug nuts be?
Answer Mike-
I've heard that anything between 60-75lb/ft of torque is safe. Just remember to torque the lugs in a star pattern...meaning that you do one lug, the move to the one on the opposite side. This will prevent the rotor from warping. Hope this helps.
