Question
I bought this truck brand new off the lot and haven't had any problems with it at all...yet anyhow.   I do have a question though,  I can not get it past 90 miles per hour.  At 90 MPH it starts chugging like it is out of gas, I let off to 88 MPH and everything is just fine again.  Does Ford put a governor on this model trucks?

Answer
Mark-

I don't personally know for sure, but it certainly sounds like it.  I own a 2001 GMC Sonoma that I use as a work truck that cuts out at (of all speeds) 98mph.  Apparently 95mph was too low, 100mph was too high.  It sounds like the EEC computer is cutting spark to keep you from going too fast.  It's annoying, I know...but you'll have to blame Ford.  Or have a chip burned to change the governor speed.  Hope this helps.
