Ford Repair - Ford Explorer windows wont work.

Expert: Chris - 10/18/2009

Question
None of the windows on my 1992 Ford Explorer windows will go up or down then i press the button, but i can hear the motor when i press the button. What could the problem be, and how can i fix it?

Answer
hey there, You can hear the motor in every single door? Usualy if you can hear the motor but the window will not go anywhere the window regulator is usualy damaged, the regulator is what moves the window up and down with the assistance of the motor. to fix it you would have to install new regulators for each window that has the problem. good luck
