Ford Repair/Heater Blower Motor

Question
Hello:
I have a 2000 Ford Explorer and a 4 speed heater/AC blower motor.
I had  problem with the speed control, all I had was 3rd and 4th speeds with nothing for 1st and 2nd speeds. I changed the blower motor resistor and now I have the same speed for the first 3 speeds and high on the 4th speed.
I did not check the fuses yet.
Is there more to this problem that I do not know about?
Any help would be most useful as winter will soon be here.
Thanks in advance
Jerry

Answer
hey there, IF there is no problem with the resistor then you have to check for the powers coming out of the manual switch, I have replaced them befor, so it is not  uncommon for a switch to fail. If this was a fuse causing this problem then the blower would not work at all.  let me know your results. good luck
