Question
Hesitation and chocking between 35mph and 40mph at higher
speeds not as much.Idles smooth change oil every
3000miles.Check engine light comes on sometimes, car has
146000miles.Can this be the transmission or in the power
supply?thx

Answer
You will need to have the trouble codes read. This is a free service at most if not all parts stores, in all states except California. Let me know what the code numbers are and I will be able to tell you if it is the powertrain, or drivetrain.

The light doesn't necessarily have to be on to have the codes read. If it has been on recently, there may be codes there.
