Question the fan only works on position 4, it will not work in postions
1,2, or 3.
Answer Water may have entered the blower motor fresh air intake.This could short the blower motor and the resistor.
Ford has a TSB on this issue.
You may need a splash shield installed along with a new right side cowl screen if the one on your car is warped.
