How can I tell what type of freon to use in my 93' ford ranger?  Can I recharge this with 134a?

should have r12 unless changed over-this charge fittings are quick connect if 134 and screw on if 12-for this model and do it yourself a retro kit available at the parts house is ok for you-i do it different at the shop. good luck and follow instruction.
