Question I need to have my 1986 Bronco inspected, and the horns will not work. Judging by the wiring diagram in the Haynes manual I have, the cruise goes through the horn relay, which makes sense (sort of) since my cruise control is out as well. I think I have narrowed the problem down to the relay, but I can't find it.
Answer Your problem is more likely to be in the steering column wiring or steering wheel switches. The cruise control DOES NOT go thru the horn relay. The relay is ONLY for the horn. If cruise and horn are both inop, the common area is in the steering column or switches.
