actually,the ford fairmont swap is fairly straight forward. using a mustang drive train, this can be accomplished with just a basic understanding of vehicle systems, and not too many special tools are rrequired. Allthough its much eaisier to swap to a 5.0 litre engine,
I also have an 82 fairmont, which, by the way was a six cylinder car.(much more work to do.
